Règine Pierre, a 27 years old Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She migrated to the USA at the age of 12. With little English, she received an Academic Achievement award for having the highest grade point average at Mount Juliet Middle school. At Mount Juliet high school, she won the State FCCLA championship and placed third in national in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Fred J. Page High school after only her junior year; sadly she didn’t have a senior year nor senior prom however she had the greatest advantage of them all: Starting College a year early.

 

She majored in Pre-Law until obtaining a part-time job as a caregiver and quickly obtained her CNA license. She fell in love with the nursing profession and decided to change her major to Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Tennessee State University.  In 2011 she was nominated as a March of Dimes Student Nurse of the year.  She graduated from the university and received her first nursing job as Weekend RN Supervisor. She has worked in both acute and long term care settings. After graduation, Règine applied to Middle Tennessee State University and was accepted as a graduate student majoring in Masters of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner. A year later, she decided to be a healthcare administrator. She obtained her Masters of Business Administration and currently works as an RN Risk Manager/Infection Control.

 

She is very active in her community. She is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, Lambda Iota Sigma alumnae chapter. Her recent activities includes volunteering at the American Lung Association Walk, Walk for Lupus, March of Dimes Walk, March of Dimes Signature Chefs Event, Hands only CPR trainer at Go Red for Women Luncheon, welcome guests at American Heart Association Heart Ball, American Heart Association Walk, Teach Self breast Exam for breast cancer awareness, Award presenter at Stilettos and Bowties black tie event honoring leaders in the Nashville Community during black history month, Speaker at Haiti independence day event, speaker at Kopy Kat (sexual abuse) event in Columbus, Mississippi, Xclusive outreach Christmas toy drive, Miss Northeast High school pageant host, Pinned US Airforce graduates in Biloxi, Mississippi, Pancakes and Prayers Charity Event in Atlanta, GA for Haiti orphanage, Fashion Show for a Cause, Guest at St Lutheran Church fundraiser to help raise funds to feed children of Font Baptiste School in Haiti, 27 Random Acts of Kindness for 27th birthday, Water movie screening in Miami, FL panel discussion: how water affects Lives of Haitians, Leukemia Walk, Posthumous Award Presenter to the late actor Paul walker at Haitian Movie Award in Boston, Interviewed on Nashville Public television about platform and Haiti, Met Senator Harper and other politicians at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for new Southeast Library, Diabetes walk volunteered, Attended African Oscars in Beverly Hills California as the new face of Princess of Suburbia TV Show interviewing celebrities on the red carpet, Participated in African Street Festival, represented Haiti at African Fun Day, Award Presenter at Haitian American Award in Atlanta, GA, Of Sentimental value the movie Red Carpet Hostess, attended march of Dimes Breakfast to support Nurse of the year event, guest at Konbit DC Haiti Fundraiser in the state capital, guest at Taste of  Haiti Nashville Event and many more. She has been named recently PHOENIX CHAMPION, after obtaining her Masters from the University of Phoenix, met former Primer Minister Laurent Lamothe during his visit in Nashville and she is now one of 40 under 40 Black achiever in the City of Nashville for the year of 2015.

 

Règine is a proud advocate for the Thirst Project. Her goal is to ensure that children around the globe spend more time on their education than fetching clean water by having wells available in close proximity in the entire country of Swaziland by 2022 and eventually the world.
