Born in one of the wealthiest and most commercialized areas of Nigeria, Lagos state; Princess Fumi Hancock (nee Ogunleye) was trained from birth to regard her royalty background as a privilege … a privilege to have the opportunity to make a difference in her immediate community and impact the world at large. This is a lesson she has carried with her from birth and the engine which fuels her passion in all that she does both in the US and her native land… Nigeria in Africa.

Despite her royal background, Princess Fumi has met with several challenges maneuvering her way through life in the US. With one failed marriage behind her and her struggles to fit in earlier on in the US; she now realizes that regardless of what people think, say or do, her birth place and her royal family history is one to be proud of and

not swept under a rug.

If there is one lesson she has learned in life… it is this:

“That you cannot live your life for someone else. Often, we underestimate what God has placed in our lives because we want to make others feel better or want to fit into a clique or society.
While this may be a necessary evil in some aspects; it is important that we understand we were uniquely created by a divine being. One who cares deeply and knew us when we were a thought in our mother’s womb… one who never makes mistakes. I was born into a royal family for such a time as this.
While others may undermine the gravity of their royalty, I VALUE MINE AND INDEED GRATEFUL FOR IT! For in truly embracing it, I have found my mission in life….helping others to be whole by living authentic lifestyles; to discover their vision and stir up their gifts!”

Welcome to my Chickie-chic life of glam….

Once upon a time, in a far, far, far away land in the heart of Africa lived an orphan girl who was bethrowed to the people’s Prince. After much controversy, the two eloped to Lagos, one of the wealthiest places in Nigeria and started their family.

First came Fumilayo Stephanie Ogunleye Hancock; a bundle of joy as they’d often referred to her…
